Steve Moorhouse - Career Profile

Having served a mechanical engineering apprenticeship with GEC Steve moved in to the oil and gas industry in 1975, working as a welding and coating inspector during construction of the new British Gas National Transmission Pipeline System bringing southern north sea gas to the UK. During these early days Steve progressed to an ERS approved Senior Pipeline Inspector with teams of up 40 iwelding, coating, ditching and agrcultural inspectors working under his directions.

In 1981 Steve moved to concentrate on working for oil and gas companies usually being retained as their Clients Rep or Construction Manager on onshore pipelines, onshore oil and gas exploration developments, and offshore pipeline landfalls.

Onshore oil and gas developments, including coal bed methane exploration continues to be our core activity.

In addition to a welath of experience in the onshore and landfall business Steve also holds a NEBOSH general cerrtificate and is a Technician Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH)
